(1) Treatment of water (tap water) : The purpose of treating water with activated carbon is to improve water quality and remove odor, odor, humus, oil, pesticides, detergents and other substances harmful to the human body.

(2) Treating production water: Activated carbon is widely used in treating various production water. For instance, in the brewing industry, the beverage industry and the ice-making industry, activated carbon is used to remove color, odor, colloidal substances, detergents, pesticides and other organic substances from groundwater, or to remove free chlorine and odor from tap water; in the power and chemical industries, activated carbon is used to deoil boiler water and boiler return water; in the pharmaceutical industry, activated carbon is used to remove pyrogens from water; in the electronics industry, activated carbon is used to produce ultra-pure water; in the shipping industry, activated carbon is used to produce drinking water; in aquariums, activated carbon is used to remove chlorine from tap water, etc.

(3) Treatment of production wastewater: The wastewater discharged in various production processes contains different impurities, but it is relatively simple and easy to treat. Therefore, it should be disposed of before being discharged or recycled.

(4) Treatment of sewage (sewage) : sewage is a collection of various waste water into sewage, the composition is extremely complex. In the treatment, the condensation precipitation method (physical method), activated carbon mud method (biological method) and activated carbon adsorption method are usually used together to improve the treatment effect and reduce the treatment cost. Activated carbon treatment is usually used in conjunction with biological processes or is placed behind them as a final treatment. After treatment, it can remove color, pesticides, detergents, odors, and impurities such as BOD, COD, TOC, and be reused or discharged as industrial and agricultural water.
